Living in a small country town was a great idea until I fractured my kneecap and now can’t drive and there is no public transport or Uber and I now have medical/physio appointments every other day. I hate having to rely on people to get around

My to do ;”for my own 1 and a half days list doing for nights night shift is washing a laundry and ending my cats little rat and hopefully taking the dog for a walk if it stops raining but I’m pretty tired so % they’ll all get done #nurseshruggles

My work hired outside people to come into the hospital and reorganise the storerooms to apparently streamline our service and now non of us can actually find anything and it is drastically slowing us down, and I have rage thrown so many things this week because of it

My sister asking me to babysit so she can’t chop firewood is about as courtyard as you get, but also chop some for me please

Testing positive for covid while on annual leave is not a vibe. Could it not have waited till next week so I wouldn’t have to work my 5 night shifts 😭

My sis’s work cancelled her normal shift this week which means I wasn’t going to have my regular day babysitting my niece so i was alittle sad but then my sis was like can you watch her for a few hours anyway so I chop fire wood & honestly so simple but I love my weekly aunt time

Love when a patient was brought in to ED at 0100 and you are handed over one story by ambulance and the patient concerns that’s what happened and then 4 hours later when the doctor finally sees the patient the husband and the patient change the story and make you look stupid

My sister was in town today running errands (she lives in a small town 40km from me) and stopped by my work with my niece to bring me lunch and honestly was the highlight of my day

I’m trying to eat healthier at the moment and everyone at work tonight was ordering takeaway and it was seriously painful to say no and then watch them all eat their burgers and fries 😭

My cat in the morning post breaks fast the last few days has immediately stayed crying/meowing at me and it apparently it mean she wants to be cuddled with I’m not mad about

Working in a small country ED that’s trauma by pass you think you don’t get to see much action but country people self present with wild injuries ie the 2 am walk in patient post machete attack I had last night

My 18 month old niece this week has just randomly started say something that sounds likes “onion” and she just says it constantly. We have no idea what she’s actually trying to say 😂

I was out taking my dog for a walk and one of my friends message me and asked me to stop by here house on my way home, and I get there and her whole family is standing out the front waiting to see my dog 😂😂

We had a student at work today who half way through the day just looked at me and said “I really want to know everything that’s going through your head at any given moment cause it seems like a lot” like yeah I most likely have undiagnosed ADHD, my mind is all over the place

6 weeks ago I made a doctors appointment(the earliest I could get one) and today an hour before the appointment the doctor cancelled it then asked if I wanted to rebook the next available which is in 5 weeks. nearly threw my phone across the room because I was so annoyed

Love the little old man in ED today who just wanted to show me pictures of his cat and tell me all about it cause it meant I could show him pictures of mine. It was a real wholesome experience
