Not another one… Despite voters going to the polls just weeks ago, a number of Green councillors across London have already stood down - meaning costly, unnecessary by-elections. Tonight I’ve been with @ClaphamParkLab candidate Louie Somerville Sutherland and team speaking to residents about how committed he is to the area for a by-election on 9th July.
This is heartwarming. This is the London I live in, the one that I love. This is the London where you are Loved and Wanted and don’t let anyone tell you differently.
@emmajbradshaw@MetTVH Hi Emma. Please let us know about support for netball and anything else sportswise you’d like to see funded in the area - Sport England are looking to support sport in Clapham Park. https://t.co/j38WHuJGy9
Talking to residents in Clapham Park with our superb Labour candidates Cllr Verity McGivern and Cllr Martin Tiedemann and Louie Somerville-Sutherland.

Every closed pub is a loss. Once sold off to a developer, the community loses the space for good.
Or the community buys it, runs it, and keeps it.
The Community Right to Buy makes the second option possible, and Labour & Co-operative councillors elected Thursday will use it.

Biggest ever investment in youth centres. Right here in Lambeth.
Great to welcome @SadiqKhan to Marcus Lipton in Brixton for his £30m investment in youth centres across London.
👉 We will expand our local provision with more safe spaces and free gym and swim for under-16s.
Great news: OFSTED has reported a significant improvement in Lambeth’s Children’s Services 😁
We know there’s more to do, but we will continue to improve services across the borough, making Lambeth the best place to grow up and age well in.

It’s our local surgery this coming Saturday at the Clapham Park Hub next to Sainsbury’s on Kings Avenue.
Drop in between 11am and midday if you want to raise a local issue or need help with anything council-related.
🏊♂️FREE SWIM AND GYM FOR UNDER-16s IN LABOUR-RUN LAMBETH🤸♂️
Building on our popular free swimming for U-11s, we will expand free swim and gym access to all U-16s in Lambeth if re-elected in May.
Helping young people stay healthy and fit and not costing parents a penny extra.
Lambeth Labour absolutely oppose any changes to the Freedom Pass scheme that would restrict its eligibility or reduce the range of transport services it can be used on.
While the Liberal Democrats dismiss it as an 'expensive burden' - we are committed to keeping it.

Last cold snap: 28 people sleeping rough in Lambeth offered accommodation. In Brixton, 7 people found during the count - all known to services and now with plans in place. This is backed by a 7-day-a-week outreach team, working through the night 365 days a year!
Promise Made. Promise Delivered.
In 2022, we pledged to plant 5,000 trees by 2026.
This week, over 500 new trees will be planted, taking our total to a whopping 12,000!
Huge thanks to everyone who has supported this effort over recent years.
Stay tuned for our 2026 pledge 🌳
