Country 17) Singapore

We didn’t get many photos here as we only stopped in Singapore for 15 hours, but had enough time in between flights to visit the Marina Bay Area and the Gardens by the Bay 🌺🇸🇬

Country 16) Indonesia

Having already visited Bali in 2018 we decided to skip this and head to more undeveloped areas which included snorkelling with manta rays, scuba diving with reef sharks and swimming with whale sharks! 🦈

Country 15) Japan

As weird, quirky and futuristic as I expected yet nothing like I expected at the same time! We spent 2 weeks visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, Kanazawa, Osaka, Nara and Hiroshima 🇯🇵

Country 14) The Philippines

Another one of my favourites, the best sunsets, island formations and clear waters of the trip 🇵🇭

Country 13) Mexico (another favourite country)

The final month of our South/Central America journey saw us explore Mexico in March - Mexico City, beaches, ruins and cenotes 🇲🇽 we then flew home for 3 weeks to see friends, family and secure new jobs for September! 👩‍🏫 👨‍🏫

Country 12) Guatemala

An amazing 16 days with a bucket list activity of hiking up a volcano to watch Volcan Fuego erupt (every 15-30 minutes!!). We also visited Lake Atitlan, Antigua, Semuc Champey and the Tikal ruins 🇬🇹

Country 11) Honduras

We completed our open water scuba diving course here on the island of Utila 🇭🇳

Country 10) Nicaragua

This surprised us as actually being incredibly beautiful, FULL of volcanoes and some wonderful cities 🇳🇮

Country 9) Costa Rica

Monteverde Cloud Forest and La Fortuna, another week of hiking and enjoying the nature 🌳🇨🇷

Country 8) Panama and into Central America!

This was a week of island hopping around the San Blas islands on a catamaran, one of our highlights of the last 11 months, and exploring Panama City. 🇵🇦

Country 7) Colombia

We spent a month exploring this country in December, including Santa Marta, Minca, Tayrona National Park, Cartagena, Medellin (a fantastic Changing Places case study), Salento and Guatape 🇨🇴

Country 6) Ecuador (another favourite!!)

Although we didn’t have enough ££ to go to the Galapagos (giving us an excuse to visit in the future), we loved Quito, Banos, Quilotoa Hike, the coast, and a 4 night stay in the Amazon rainforest 🌧️🐒 🇪🇨 difficult to summarise in 4 pics!

Country 5) Brazil

Visiting Rio which involved a hike to Christ the Redeemer, the cable car up Sugarloaf Mountain and a day exploring the Copacabana and Ipanema Beach 🇧🇷

Country 4) Argentina (one of my favourite countries from the entire 11 month trip!)

A huge country so were only able to see the highlights - Patagonia ❄️, Buenos Aires, Mendoza 🍷, and Iguazu Falls 🇦🇷

Country 1) Peru - completing the 4 day Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu along with hiking Rainbow Mountain and quad biking in the sand dunes of Huacachina 🥾🇵🇪
