Dear Friends and Colleagues,
If you could share my tweets today part of Dietitians Week #DW2022 I would be most grateful.
Whilst my tweets are focused on motivating our #Dieteticworkforce I couldn't feel stronger, that we are in it together as #HCPs of all professions #AP
Next, an inspiring panel discussion showcases the extended roles of Dietitians. Clare Lewis talks about her role in placing feeding tubes, @AlisonCulkin on being a supplementary prescriber, and Laura Clare shares insights as a dysphagia practitioner. #EvolutionOfDieteticPractice
Really enjoyed the talk "Showcasing the extended roles of dietitians" from @lauraclarke_rd@AlisonCulkin and Clare Lewis today. Has given me some things to think about and take back to my team
Places are going fast!

@BigBaldDr Sorry to hear that Damian, that’s really bad luck. Fingers crossed you don’t get it too badly. I have just had it but back to work tomorrow!
We are looking to recruit a dedicated, innovative and forward thinking Head of Nutrition and Dietetics to lead the management and development of the Nutrition and Dietetics service. The role will have both managerial and clinical responsibilities.
@FranWaldock Dietitians can put in nasogastric tubes, nasojejunal tubes, replace gastrostomy tubes, replace jejunostomy tubes, put in PEGs and put in PIGs! Agree with the previous comment! The world is your oyster!
@FranWaldock Many dietitians do balloon water changes (agree very simple!). We expect elderly partners of HEF patients and mothers of children with feeding tubes to change the water in a balloon so why on earth can’t a professionally trained dietitian in nutrition support do it!
