Ever since my husband died suddenly last week, the weather in North Essex has been apocalyptic. We've had torrential rainstorms, hail, thunder and lightning, the lot. It's strangely comforting.

My husband died suddenly yesterday. I'd known him since I was 22, my first and only love. He was always kind, funny, clever, a great Dad and always did what was right. He was my person. With him and my Mum gone, my life is immeasurably sadder. He was loved so so much. 💔💔💔💔💔
