@RoyalMail
Waiting for postie to collect a parcel prepaid and for collection. Watched him go to my neighbour, expecting come to me next & alas he drove off. I have an email for the exact time he tried my neighbour (who is not in) to say they tried to collect but not in. What now
@lesmisofficial The Royal Albert Hall. Absolutely incredible. Geronimo Raunch and Jeremy Secombe were simply the best JVJ and Javert I have ever had the privilage of seeing live, backed up by all principals and company
Nigel Farage, "Today, I will resign as an MP for Clacton"
"This is a people vs the establishment election, a chance to stick two fingers up to the establishment, to frankly tell them where to go"
"To the voters of Clacton: if I win, you win"
You win an MP who doesn't hold in-person surgeries like other MPs
You win an MP who received a £5m gift without declaring it
You win an MP who earns more per hour from a gold company than the average disposable annual income in Clacton
Good luck with your choices Clacton 👍
@mrcarl_woodward Agree Carl. Especially when I saw a recent post from someone who paid £19 for a single 250ml glass of Rosè in one! Surely an employee is worth at least the living London Wage
If you genuinely think that #Reform are right for this country, ask yourself this…
Why are so many millionaires and billionaires pumping their money into it?
WAKE UP BEFORE ITS TOO LATE, PLEASE
@WeAreOpenreach I already have. However this is your engineer and I am disgusted you allow them to lie like this. Openreach have a monopoly it seems and no way of recourse to me directly, despite your Engineer lying. I would have direct messaged you but its also not working! Like your staff!
@WeAreOpenreach Is it usual for your engineers 'Danny' to claim they have visited at 1035am and spoken to the resident, claim NO problem, when they havn't even attended. NO internet phone since the main copper cable was replaced outside on tuesday! Coincidence I think not
Let's remove all luxury cars from the 'Company Vehicle' system.
No-one needs a Jaguar or Mercedes to do their business. Or even a new car. Give them all a 5 year old Škoda Octavia.
Exactly the same principle.
Woke up to this Motability story about “premium cars” being removed from the scheme… and once again it feels like the disabled community is being painted as freeloaders cruising around in BMWs and Mercedes.
The truth?
Most disabled people don’t have a Motability car. I’m one of them — never have, never needed to. And for those who do, the vast majority are driving standard, practical vehicles that meet their needs. Not luxury models.
What really worries me is the impact this kind of headline has on public attitudes. It fuels the idea that disabled people are somehow “taking advantage”, instead of facing daily barriers, extra costs and challenges that most people never see.
And while we’re talking about vehicles… maybe the conversation should be less about what disabled people “shouldn’t” have, and more about why Motability cars are needed at all.
If public transport, rail, trams, taxis and everyday travel were actually accessible across the UK, many of us wouldn’t be forced into using a car as our only option for independence.
Let’s also remember where Motability started.
In the 70s and 80s, disabled people were handed cars like the one in the second photo — tiny, unsafe and completely impractical. Is that really the kind of era we want to drift back towards with the way we talk about disability?
By all means review the scheme if needed — but do it honestly, fairly, and without fuelling resentment towards a community already dealing with enough judgement.
A bit of balance goes a long way.
🚨🇬🇧 UK Farmer this week
“If this budget goes badly then we will shut the Country down permanently”
Farmers are back out protesting having being persecuted by the British Government since they took charge & this time it sounds like they really mean business ‼️
Britain is facing a food security crisis. And that’s because the Labour government has wilfully overlooked farming and even worse, punished British farmers.
"It's not just knowledge we lose, it's our ability to feed people." 👨🌾

@alanvibe@RachelReevesMP A total disgrace! And now Lammy wants to do away with trial by jury. If we adopt such a system, innocent people like this farmer could be placed in prison for years. Two tier justice, not acceptable!
This is an utter outrage
Farmer arrested in London
Shameful day by Met
@RachelReevesMP public & farmers will not be silenced
We stand with our farmers together
I seem to have upset the @Nigel_Farage fan club - so let me be clear.
This man sows hate, lies and division.
He is a grifter and a conman.
He does not represent the vast majority of Britons.
RT if you agree
P.s. multiculturalism is great.
@GrandadWheels@Tesco Not just @tesco also @Asda co op and suspect many others. I now find it very difficult to shop independently. Lack of thought for wheelchair users, people using rollators etc being able to access this style of freezer
