@Jackie_ChALC and the dates for local elections are poorly circulated - I didn't realise the last local election in my area was happening until a few days before (lived in a house share - informational leaflets were binned often before I saw them). I'm still not 100% what they were for. (3/3)
@Jackie_ChALC I also found that most of the people I spoke to who didn't vote, engaged in other ways (often not realising it was political engagement) I think the information about local elections is hard to find, when you do find it, it's complicated (1/2)

Today the government have essentially said that GM Residents are less worthy of financial support than other places. According to this Gov, my career is no longer viable and the region I live in is worthless.
Thank you @AndyBurnhamGM for fighting for us.

@jeremycorbyn For so many people (incl. me) this is such a hopeless situation. I spent yesterday calling around to see if there is anything I can claim. I now have no way of earning money, something needs to be done. The government needs to tell cafes, theatres etc to shut! #zerohourcontract

Tonight I met the PM and pressed for support for those affected by coronavirus, including rent deferrals, mortgage holidays, higher statutory sick pay and income protection for insecure, low-paid and self-employed workers. It’s essential for both public health and social justice.
How many Idris Elbas or Julie Walters have been stopped from flourishing by a decade of Tory vandalism of arts, culture & youth club funding? Working class talent is widespread - but opportunity isn't. My government will ensure everyone and every community has voice & has value.

Saw #babyface@The_Lowry today, brilliant show. Just the right amount of audience discomfort. Very funny, intelligent and challenging. Highly recommended. @WarnMcr @katydye1
