If you get so overwhelmed about having a perfect morning routine… your new morning routine should be:
1) wake up
2) do the thing you wanted the morning routine to help you accomplish.
Far too many adults focus on sport specific training whenever they should simply focus on getting stronger (I’m looking at you, golfers).
Oh, and the same could be said for kids. Just get stronger. It’s never a weakness.
People look at folks who have worked out 5 days a week for 10+ years and expect to look like that after a 6 week challenge.
Once you get started, don’t stop. That’s the secret. Just keep going.
If you want to get over scale anxiety - weigh yourself every day. You’ll take away the power of the number, realize it doesn’t mean anything about you as a person, AND you’ll be able to recognize and realize your trends and behaviors.
Wake up. Use the toilet. Weigh yourself.
Some of the healthiest people out there look like regular people. They aren’t “Instagram jacked,” but they also live full and happy lives without making too much sacrifice.
Healthy living is so much more than 6 pack abs.
The way you “win” or become “accomplished” with fitness is by starting and never stopping.
Embracing that you’ll never stop this lifestyle is the cheat code to never getting out of shape ever again.
What’s more painful? Staying the same or changing?
Whatever we want to achieve, we will go through some pain to get there. And until we decide that it’s more painful to stay the same than it is to change, we won’t see the results or achievements we want.
If we’re still struggling to workout 3-5 days a week with B+ consistency, we don’t need to worry about optimizing workouts.
We need to focus on optimizing our schedule.
