We're looking for a few bus drivers and aides to join our team. No experience necessary, we will even provide paid training to teach you how to drive a bus! I know it sounds challenging, I was intimidated at first, but now I prefer driving my bus rather than my car.
One week from today, is the annual @LearnAtCCS Transportation Department's annual Stuff-A-Bus event. We will be out at Neiman's collecting food for Lighthouse of Oakland County. Please help pass the word, and let's make this one of our most successful years yet!
This week is National School Bus Safety Week, please be cautious around school buses as they transport our most precious cargo. School bus lights are considered traffic lights so if they are flashing red stop.
During a one-day survey conducted by 2,013 Michigan school bus drivers in May 2025, drivers reported 2,207 times a motorist passed a school bus illegally.
Red means STOP!
In Michigan in 2024, there were 1,044 crashes involving school buses, 54 of those happened at the bus stops. From the 54 bus stop crashes, there was one fatality, but not on a school bus, and there were 26 injuries. If the bus lights are flashing red – STOP!
We have a 1/2 day this Friday, also just a reminder, students that are shared between CHS, CJHS, and SMS should remain at their home schools this Friday, October 17th, unless otherwise instructed by the teacher in their specialized programs.
An issue has been brought to our attention that some families have received notifications from the BusRight app indicating their student’s route has already started. This is a known glitch that BusRight is aware of and actively working to resolve. Thanks for your understanding
Remember to brake for school buses when the stop sign is out. Please practice patience and caution around our school buses who are responsible for picking up and dropping off our most precious cargo. We hope everyone has a wonderful school year!
Today, our bus drivers and office staff attended a continuing education course that is required every 2 years. While most of the topics are a refresher of past mate, there's always a few new things to cover. School starts a week from today, who is ready?
Safety and proper behavior are just as important on a school bus as in the classroom. Buses are considered an extension of the schools, and our drivers receive some of the same training as teachers. Please help us by talking to your children about proper behavior on the bus.
Can my student ride home with a friend? This is one of the most common questions we get, and unfortunately due to a number of behavior issues last school year, we have made the decision to discontinue bus passes. Students must ride their own bus to and from school

Due to a bad accident, the road is closed at Dixie Highway and Maybee Road, Traffic is at a standstill and being re-routed. We expect several of our afternoon buses to be delayed.

Today 7 of our bus drivers competed in the annual Oakland County School Bus Roadeo, as a team, they finished strong, coming in 2nd place. Congratulations to all of our drivers who participated.
