Art House is a unique art event that takes place annually in Stoneygate and Clarendon Park. Almost a hundred local artists both professional, part-time and amateur are hosted by local home owners into galleries selling a wide range of original art.

Sad to say that 26 trees in Victoria Park are dead or dying as a result Sooty Bark Disease, a fatal fungal infection that attacks sycamore trees.

Leicester City Council will soon remove these trees & replace them with 50 new disease-resistant hornbeams and London planes.

Sadly, more trees in Victoria Park have succumbed to sooty bark disease - the fatal fungal infection that attacks sycamore trees. The 25 trees that have to be removed will be replaced with disease-resistant hornbeams and London planes, with 50 new trees planted in total.

After being damaged by high winds in March, the repair work above the main entrance at #KnightonLibrary is now complete.

The scaffolding was removed this morning and the library has re-opened the main entrance to customers.

Library Plus is also back in operation.
