This afternoon we have been comparing the style of two of our favourite illustrators - Quentin Blake and Oliver Jeffers. In order to get a flavour for their similarities and differences, we have created some of our favourite characters. Amazing!!!
This week we have been delving into our new curriculum theme 'We are Eco-Warriors' (the inspiration for our Y2 play!). We read a beautiful book called 'Dear Earth...' about a little girl who wanted to thank earth for all the wonders in it. We then drew our magical journeys...
Thank you Class 6 for being the most fantastic sports performers today, but most importantly, doing it with huge smiles on your faces! You made the afternoon so much fun!
Today we celebrated the work that the children have done during their RE theme of Rules. They prepared the most beautiful Collective Worship based on the theme of making good choices so that we can live out Jesus' golden rule - love one another.
The children have loved their DT project! Look at their amazing skills to solve problems of joining materials and making their structure stable. βοΈπ
The children have done the most amazing art today, creating their own 'stationary' characters that could appear in 'The Day the Crayons Quit.' They have definitely taken on the style of the amazing Oliver Jeffers! ππ¨
Look at the amazing designs for Duncan's crayon fort! I can't wait to see the finished products on Friday! (There will be an email inviting the children to bring in small boxes for Friday)
Today we have been listening to a story about making the wrong choices and predicting how the characters will change to make the right choices. Some super work!
Class 6 I am so proud of your hard work and resilience this week! You really have been amazing! Well done to our award winners, super readers, TT Rockstars and our little athletes.
They have also written some fantastic book reviews recommending 'The Bow Who Grew Dragons'. I don't know about you, but they've made me want to read it again!
Welcome back to school for the final half term of this academic year! π’The children have come back to school with super behaviour for learning as you can see from their work today. They have created their own mind maps to illustrate all that they have learned about Muslim prayer
Congratulations to the Class 6 award winners for this week: a star writer, a very caring and affectionate friend and a little boy who is a super reader as well as a TTRockstar (for the second time!!!) πππ
Congratulations to our award winners - a super reader, a Class of super learners, an affectionate friend and a TTRockstar! I am so proud of you all! ππππ
