@PeteBrownBeer Sounds like things have turned out all right for now. I very much hope your best writing days are ahead of you too, for purely selfish reasons. Because the ones behind you were pretty f&;king good for us readers!
@Beervana Ummm, I think you can remove ‘beer’ from your headline! All tv advertising is in a massive dearth, creatively and spend-wise. Because…who watches network TV these days?
@Beervana@shaunosullivan Why do I like ‘em? Rich, sharp, stimulating. It’s like the meeting point between hops & malt. Honestly one of my favorite styles - such a noseful and so, so satisfying without being cloying or overbearing.
@Beervana You know I love this style! All time fave (yeah @shaunosullivan) is 21A’s Back In Black, which has (or had?!) such a clean chicory note.
I’ve had Society & Solitude at Hill Farmstead’s brewery at dusk in fall. Top 20 beer experience.
And of course Wookie Jack. The daddy.
@kbernot “What sweet summer children we must have been, to have our palates delighted by something like Steam Beer”
Kate! I’ve got work to do! Damn girl!
Very, very good.
@Brewenthusiast@BryanDRoth I was on Nielsen when the news came out and looked out of curiosity.
They had $5.2MM/140K cases for all Anchor SKUs across the whole USA for the past 52 weeks.
For context, that’s a touch smaller than packaged Guinness…in Northern California alone.
@Beervana Haha, that number is very influenced by how cool a glass is. The cooler the glass, the more glasses ‘walk out the door’ every night 😊
Also, cool glasses tend to be ornate/not stackable which means they get smashed more often too.
… And you can still do that. But as of this Thursday, we’ll have permanent Guinness taps on both floors - yep, perfectly poured pints wherever you sit. So, by all means, visit the Taproom before ascending the stairs, but you won’t miss out on the black stuff if you don’t.
@beergoggins @joelandrewwinn That’s exactly what it’s about.
And to be clear, you can’t cut your own fingers off, and even if you could, you’d probably bleed out or at least get an infection that would likely kill you.
(That’s how you know it isn’t real 😆)
@BeaumontDrinks Most of the state of Hawaii! Whisk(e)y with a pineapple juice chaser is super common. I think there already is a pineapple whiskey made on the islands.
