Sports relief day- the children had a fantastic time with the year 6 children, taking part in a circuit of activities that they had organised for us.🏀🤸🏽♂️⛹🏽♀️
We are musicians! Today we are looking at playing the glockenspiel for the very first time. We have been using specific vocabulary such as ‘pitch, rhythm, pulse, beat.’ They have composed their own rhythms.
We are super scientists! We explored materials and their properties, testing for absorbent, waterproof, transparent and opaque. We predicted and carried out the test and discussed our results 🔍
Collective worship- our focus was the ‘Our Father’ prayer, which we have been looking at during our topic about special meals. The children were thoughtful and reflective.
@ClassOneMrsL1 Thomas wrote a recipe and made himself and brothers a healthy fruit salad for dessert whilst telling James everything he'd learned in school 😍
The children did an excellent job today making their healthy fruit and vegetable salads. They used equipment safely to prepare their salads; they enjoyed eating them most of all.

The very hungry caterpillar. Today we have had our first independent read of the story. The children used ‘Fred talk,’ to help them decode the majority of the text. They then posed questions about the story such as “how do we know if it is male or female?”🐛🍊
