From day -1 we have argued about what this country is and should be. When I think about what I like about our history it is, in large part, the argument. The argument is how we have found our way through and become better. Places without argument may at times be more efficient, but they are not as cool.

This is annoying because I hate a lot of the current arguments. I think many of them are extremely stupid and often selfish and sometimes even cruel. But I guess they never liked their’s either.

I’d take it a step further: erase the 40 hour standard, everyone works 4 hour days. More shift changes, more job spaces to fill, more time to enjoy the only life we’re given. Do this and pay them more, money is fake just like time.

sit at a cafe and relax for an hour on a rainy afternoon.

When I was a teenager I got in a fight and had to go through a juvenile detention board panel to avoid a charge on my permanent record, despite the fact I didn’t even start the fight or throw the first punch, because my “reaction was not equal”, meaning (from what I understood and remember from the time) I reacted too violently to the altercation. I (allegedly) took it to a level it didn’t need to go to because all the other girl did was pull my hair and swing on me. I should’ve “de escalated” “walked away” etc. according to the police who watched the footage (there was a camera in the hallway), but instead I… did not do that. lol.

Anyway, I say this because the police told me, as a teenage girl, with zero training on any de escalating tactics, who wasn’t even the initial aggressor, I should’ve either just not reacted, walked away, or mentally calculated what an equal reaction should’ve been in the midst of all this.

But asking that of full grown adult trained federal agents is asking too much.

Please spare me

If you genuinely believe this changes the narrative of the events that occurred a week later whatsoever you’re just obsessed with justifying lethal force by masked federal agents by any means possible. If any past examples of anger or law breaking justify being shot 10 times in the back on the street at some point in the future then y’all better get to clutching your pearls because you’re all on the chopping block.

Disabled Veterans. Humanitarians. Civil servants.

They are human.
They have bills to pay. Families who depend on them. Children. Many of them took pride in their work. Some were just getting started in their careers.

Losing a job and financial hardship is not funny. It impacts every member of the family. It impacts self worth. It impacts the economy.

Finding satisfaction in the indiscriminate firing of tens of thousands of Americans at the hands of a punch drunk billionaire is not only cruel, it's unAmerican.

This is not patriotism.
