On March 2, 1955, a 15-year-old Claudette Colvin refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama—nine months before Rosa Parks. Today, we honor her bravery and unwavering spirit. Thank you, Ms. Colvin, for standing tall so others could rise.
