A homeless person asked for money and I didn’t have any cash on me so I showed him this picture instead. We ended up having very public sex on Canal street instantly. Many people walking by were disgusted by my body and the noises we made. I wish this were untrue.
Hey baby ❤️… I seen you walking out that Tillys… Lemme aggressively sell you this Mediterranean facial/body scrub. I know you like it when I speed walk toward you from 20ft away. Stop playin wit me mama… You play too much! Haha. Now lemme follow you for another 30-40ft 💕…
@Jesperish What you do is incredible, unparalleled, & so uniquely “you.” Your value to humanity is beyond-measure. Rn, the world is a disorienting mess for us all… Yet, I hold faith, that in due-time, your innate strengths will be your North Star. Your talent, unbridled, will recalibrate u
IMO Musicians think of genre akin to an ingredient, an added flourishing, eg. A cumin-forward dish, a tamarind-center, etc. Non-musicians think of genre as though musicians are solely said spice/herb/ingredient: “they are (ingredient)”, they are “cumin” “they are a tamarind-band”
@pgfguy@celinedionysus_ Worth adding: my above statement does not invalidate your note. For all we know she could have been anywhere from 0.1% of the prod to 99%. If anything, I’m just trying to recognize the unsung heroes whom often are glossed over & bring this concept to the attention of the public
@pgfguy@celinedionysus_ If u stepped in the room and hummed a sequence of 2 notes, while a record is being made, u too could receive a co-prod. credit (as well as a songwriting credit). It’s currently a very contentious issue in the rec industry. To-date, prod. credits offer 0 insight into % of input
@celinedionysus_ Still love Janet + she’s a visionary for going along with such out-of-the box production (especially for the time). With that said, this is a common & critical misunderstanding (that must be corrected) concerning by whom (and how) the music we consume is actually manufactured.
@celinedionysus_ Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam made this song. These two are the ones who flipped “Ventura Highway - America” & Gymnpopdie. The producers made this song. Janet sung it. 👍
i'll give you a quick second to think abt when this was made.
2011? 2013? nah man

came across this guy & he might accidentally be the godfather of cloud rap bc this is straight up a fucking icytwat or early kray beat lmfao
i think producers should be listed alongside the artist on streaming. not only did they put in an equal amount of work but producers having somewhere accessible that lists their placements could help the progression, and leave room for solo work
