Excited to share- Building on our work defining TRMacs heterogeneity, we show that distinct chemokine+ IM subsets and recruited TAM niches shape pro- and anti-tumor immunity within to the TME, while Ag+ moDCs trafficking to LNs dampen DC-based neoAg vac

Claudia Jakubzick (@Dartmouth SOM) gave a lecture on “Myeloid Cells in Immune Responses.” She described how macrophage gene expression & function vary by the tissue in which they reside, & how monocytes influence diverse immune processes such as inflammation and immunotherapy. #AAIcourses

Special shout out to recent grad Dr. Xin Li (@XinLi0419) from the @claudjak Lab who was awarded the 2025 John W. Strohbehn Medal for Excellence in Biomedical Research @DartGRAD@GeiselMed!! 🤩

Our new study investigates mouse alveolar mac heterogeneity & compares their divergence & evolutionary conservation with human counterparts. Naive mouse AMs are thought to be homogeneous. But, like human AMs, they exhibit vast heterogeneity.

@ImmunologyKing @PayalYokota Thank you Carolyn for the shoutout!! I spent the day at a conference listening to lung organelles or microtome slices and was thinking of you!! @PayalYokota super great thread and selection of papers.
@arjunrajlab I'm w/ you. I was asked this Q when I started & on my 1st grant. My previous PI had to write a letter stating that I had come up w/ the concepts. Science needs replication so if you can come up w/ and address an idea in the same way as your previous mentor outside of the lab-wow.
Our latest one is out @Nature ! We found an aberrant immune epithelial progenitor niche drives post viral lung inflammation and fibrosis #LongCovid. We also pointed out potential therapeutics. https://t.co/SjWkri204x Shout-out to @hnarasim23 and @wqian1016@PeterChenMD@zangcz
