@dieworkwear Swedes say we are lagom/good enough, no sane person would even aspire to think there is one country that is the best at everything.
We will always be better at hockey than Finland though. Even when they beat us.
@pfft_s@peanutbuhtha Well Larson is pretty straightforward compared to Eastern European surnames so that makes sense. And to me she looks Scandinavian, most of us have a massive RBF, just like our Slavic sisters, but the eyes usually gives us away.
@pfft_s@peanutbuhtha Sometimes? It literally means son of Lars in swedish, in danish or norwegian it would be Larsen instead but the meaning is the same.
@r1qu1qu1@chlolandria@BuzzingPop Zara went to the royal swedish ballet school for 5-6 years and danced before that too, their background is pretty similar
@simsimmaaz Zara was a student at the Royal Swedish Ballet School for many years and was taught many different types of dance from an early age, so it's no wonder that she has an easy time picking different styles of dance.
@txgermanbre As an older millennial I grew up with danish and norwegian tv and movies and I usually have no problem understanding the other scandi languages, with the exception of some dialects (Danes living close to Germany speak som kind of weird hybrid rotvälska).
@Danielczyk92@Adam_illerbrand@NostalgicHubb Robin Olsen’s parents are both Danish, he was born with a danish passport, Gyökeres has 1 Hungarian grandparent (the rest are Swedish) and he migrated here 70 years ago, how is Olsen more Swedish than Gyökeres?
@mythic400lux @xaxademavie because meira can't sing at all and this is a singing/song competition? cimberly did so good and had a fun song but meira practically copy pasted what she did last year and its repetitive and boring 🤷♀️
@aperson28671@salltweets this is far more complex than a pronoun and the reason he hasn't transitioned is so he can compete in sports, from what i understand he will when he stops competing.
