It’s very transparent that behind the exaggerated bravado of the statement is a crippling fear of upsetting the shareholders.
Safran understands full well how bad this is, which is why he has to jump in front of it so quickly.
Peter Safran has made a statement about ‘SUPERGIRL’ underperforming at the box office.
“While ‘Supergirl’ didn’t meet our box office expectations, it’s just one component of a broader, long-term strategy at DC Studios that we remain confident in.”

“Cinema sins RUINED film criticism” is a tiring premise, and I’m gobsmacked that it is accepted and regurgitated as often as it is.
It over-attributes his role in film culture (he’s hilariously irrelevant), and, frustratingly, is often used to refute any critical engagement.
i was gonna tweet earlier today how if they made toy story now they'd have to give some explanation as to why buzz freezes around andy despite not believing he's a toy, thanks to cinemasins type nitpickers obsessed with "plotholes". and then toy story 5 literally does this 😭
@_TooTface I didn’t know this until earlier, but James did not write or direct this.
It was written by a woman (with little writing credit to her name)
It’s ludicrous how you can write a short film or two, and then immediately be trusted to write a blockbuster with a 175 mil budget.
Melisandrei’s POV in Winds could be such a highlight.
Watching her slowly convert the wall into servants of R’hllor (perhaps manoeuvring to help elect a servant as the next Lord Commander), all as her faith in Stannis is tested, could be fascinating.
“It was not my war to start” she says in the following episode, as if trampling on the king’s subjects, disrupting the king’s coronation, and threatening the king with a dragon are actions that could never lead to war.
“Do you know how many mummies and daddies wrote to your mummy?”
All this is happening because a collective of boomers want big daddy government to do their parenting for them as they can’t be bothered to do it themselves.
Some tricky conversations this evening about the impending social media ban.
‘I don’t even know who this government guy is’
‘Keir Starmer’
‘Keir Starmer, what does that mean’

Russell T Davies : "The scenes inside the Tardis are flim flam. I just want them to be there and step out, you wouldn't have an episode in a car either"
Meanwhile scenes in the Tardis:
When you lay it out like this, fuck me… has there ever been ANY ongoing series (film, tv show, or book) that has been THIS thoroughly ravaged?!
It’s broken beyond repair. Where do you even start?
Dr Who is Rose Tyler
The Master is a tooth
Susan doesn’t exist yet
Rogue is in hell
Belinda has been lobotomised
Ruby was abandoned again
The Rani was eaten by Absolute Omega
Where do you go from here tbf
Since no one else is going to say it: she’s literally a normal weight rn you people have never seen a petite woman in your entire lives please go outside and stop bashing this poor girl
My late husband @Totalbiscuit being mentioned in a monetized lazy listicle video by @WatchMojo called "10 YouTubers Who Made Videos When They Knew They Were Dying" is tasteless enough. Plugging their AI slop music project in it as well? Unforgiveable. You should be ashamed.
Redditbomber guy on It’s A Wonderful Life: “When George is relieved upon returning from the version of the world without him in it, it communicates that “life is good”, I guess, but is that a meaningful idea? Isn’t that just, like, a common observation?”
The only way to interpret this is that, when writing a story, a black person cannnot be portrayed negatively, under any circumstances.
I’m glad most realise that saying “sometimes black people aren’t angels” isn’t racist, but rather a sentiment that applies to all groups
Backrooms is racist film. It’s technically brilliant, but racist. And it’s a shame during a time where Black studies is being eliminated on college campuses because I fear people are overlooking the obvious tropes and racist callbacks the film ridiculously displays.
