A strong, Southern Baptist Church in the Kansas City northland

[Ed Stetzer @edstetzer]

Just a reminder: “Here I am, send me” is not about the military, and it’s misusing scripture use Isaiah 6:8 that way.

This text is not about answering just any kind of calling—military, civilian, vocational, or otherwise.

It is about the call of God on a man of God to proclaim the message of God and thus fulfill the mission of God.

We should honor those who serve in the military. But we should also honor Scripture enough not to make a text say what it does not say.

We thank God for his faithfulness to our church for these 75 years. May he bless us with many, many more.

CBC PRAYER MEETING - 26 APR 2023 @ 6.30pm

Join with us as we begin a four-part study—“Divided We Stand.” We live in divided, contentious times. Let’s come together to learn how to biblically love those with whom we disagree—friends, family, & brothers and sisters in Christ.

[ClaycomoBaptist @ClaycomoBaptist]

ADULTS…Join us Wednesday, February 8 at 6.30pm for our Prayer Meeting as we also begin this study with CBS Sports broadcaster, James Brown, and Coach Tony Dungy! Living for Christ in our work (even when that work is retirement) is an important issue for us all to consider.

Check on your neighbors and your Sunday School class members and extended church family.

We’ll see you all this Sunday, at 10:30am only, as we celebrate Jesus on Christmas Day.
