@savetheZOU@uncledanny24@LairdVeatch Legit going to buy Missouri State basketball season tix instead. Love Mizzou and love @LairdVeatch up to this point, but I can’t stomach the sight of this.
@ShowMeZou@LairdVeatch I was seriously considering basketball season tickets. Not anymore. I can stand to look at the student section. Please @LairdVeatch. All you’ve done is win at Mizzou up till now. Don’t do this.
@markalfordkc@NorthCassHerald Yes, lots of data and much of it’s unclear,
or I need more time to sort it out - a congressional staff might have a bit more bandwidth and efficiency at finding. Also, I appreciate your engagement here. Not all elected will reply. Kudos to you and your team.
Targeting law firms for who they represent.
Removing things from museums.
Deporting legal residents without due process.
Threatening companies that raise prices.
Playing loose with classified intel.
Impeaching judges for their decisions.
We’re losing our country—fast.
You know what happens when you erode the rule of law? Businesses hold off on taking risks and making investments.
You know what happens when businesses hold off on taking risks and making investments? Economic growth stalls.
You know what happens when economic growth stalls? People lose their jobs and their retirement savings shrink.
Don’t think this won’t personally affect you. It will. It already is.
It should go without saying, but the government should not target lawyers or law firms for representing clients or taking on cases the government’s political leaders dislike. Yet that is exactly what Trump’s executive order on Perkins Coie and Paul Weiss said it was doing. They didn’t even try to hide it.
Truly independent lawyers are essential to the healthy rule of law system that has made us the envy of the world. We are eroding important aspects of our country and its formula of success.
@SenJohnKennedy Couldn’t agree more. Watching Bob Ross on PBS as a kid damaged me immeasurably and irreparably. Public television and radio must pay the price.
@MatthewWBates@colinsmo@TGC And here TGC failed to produce a true “book review,” assuming that was its aim. No clear articulation of the book’s main thesis(es), discussion of supporting evidence, framing of the case, or the stakes, omissions for which I’d have been graded down as a lowly MA student.
@PowerMizzoucom You’re the man, Gabe. You and Drew (and Tiger Terry) have made an already great season even better. I’ll soon be moving away from Columbia, but, silly as it might sound, it means a ton knowing your work will help keep me connected with the pulse of Mizzou athletics. M-I-Z
