Many oppose "warehousing" of homeless by putting them in shelters. IMO they have not adequately explored the issue, --- many people are living on the streets because they WANT TO be there. Once we remove the option of street living, we motivate people to get out of shelters.
This article briefly explores options to addressing homelessness in California, but doesn't explore the options that I believe would be most effective: building more shelters and requiring that homeless use them...cannot camp anywhere in public.

It’s become an out of control mess. Imagine you can’t even take your kids to the park. City leaders paralyzed by fear. Come on. Clean it up! Move them out! @MayorOfLA@LACity

After years of discussion, activism, and planning, 2020 is the year we will truly put people first on Market Street.

What makes people homeless? NYT as usual talks BS. Blacks are homeless due to "institutional racism", that fictitious ever-present miasma pervading the earth. Come on, drop the BS. Only 13% have drug addiction? https://t.co/MlY4wA6Suw

Thank you to the Tenderloin officer who saved a life of someone who had overdosed. TL cops overturned 73 overdoses in 2019. I’m grateful for their service and commitment, and this is also an example of the importance of having cops out walking the beat. Thank you!
