Thank you so much for helping to clean the Jubilee River this year. There are so many volunteers now on a regular walk who will collect rubbish - when you see them next say "Thank You"
If you are coming along today for the clean:
No meeting time
No meeting place
Bring your own bags
Bring your own gloves etc
No mixing with other bubbles - TIER4 area
*Feel free to post a picture of rubbish collected
Enjoy - Many thanks
Why are these volunteer clean-ups needed? See this picture from the @sloughriverside carpark. That area is still a tip!! - if anybody fancy tackling that in the next few days.....
Winter is a great time to give JR a bit of a clean - are you up for it? @datchet_dashers@uptoncrtparkrun@friendsoftwbs@GoodGymSlough How about a VERY socially distanced clean up on New Year Day in the absence of any usual events that you attend?
@KevinEtonWick@datchet_dashers@parkrunUK No meeting point; no meeting time - everybody brings own bags, gloves etc due to social distancing and TIER4 rules. With over 15 miles of space we can still go out - just don't mix with any other bubble
Big shout-out also to the three runners yesterday with tops from @datchet_dashers and @parkrunUK who did a very! responsibly distanced plogging (picking up litter while jogging) at the river - well done
Many thanks for the various people that already filled a few bags of rubbish over the last week or so. Some areas already are much improved. If you can, feel free to come out today to join in today. We got over 15 miles to cover (both sides plus paths leading to it) = distance!
If people feel anxious about mingling with others, feel free to collect some rubbish anytime. If you are brave enough, take a picture and tag @CleanJRnow
So many more people have been out walking/running/cycling/swimming here. Many discovered JR during lockdown 1,2 and 3. It has been such a friendly place with a "Hello" easily shared. Great display of plants and wildlife - even the odd Kingfisher coming along
Jubilee River is looking great. It has been a while since we have organised a clean up though this twitter account. Here is an update! Big thank you to the many volunteers that clean up as they go along. Especially after the raves around Dorney in the summer we collected a lot.
