On MLK Jr. Day of Service, the Alameda County Unincorporated Area Clean Water Program led an amazing group of 70 volunteers for a cleanup with @earthteam, and @EBRPD at Don Castro Regional Recreation Area.
They removed a whopping 3.5 cubic yards of trash from the creek and park.
The Clean Water Act-Itโs why we do what we do! Signed into law on October 18, 1972, the Federal Clean Water Act has helped improve Americaโs waterways. Working with agencies from around Alameda County, We facilitate local compliance with the Federal Clean Water Act.
Excited for another year with our environmental education partner, KIDS for the BAY. They work with 16 3rd-5th grade classes of 'Storm Drain Ranger' students who create watershed models, conduct storm drain and litter assessments, and lead assemblies for their school communities.
