Having dealt with the internal structures of NHS gender clinics and experiencing the systematic oppression of trans people in this country, having the PM so openly express transphobic/mocking comments whilst referencing a recent hate crime is perhaps the worst thing I've seen.
New paper in @royalsociety ProcB! An unexpectedly large baleen whale fossil from the early Miocene of South Australia.
Analysis of the baleen whale fossil record reveals that larger mysticetes first appeared in the Southern Hemisphere. @museumsvictoria

We are so happy to have two new members (@ClemPrieul & @LewisPalaeo) in our team this semester! We are also excited about the results of Dominink's master's project, to be presented at
@UZH_Science next month. So many shark questions & such great group of people to answer them 🦈
We had a blast during our joint lab retreat discussing ideas and planning new projects. We were so lucky to be able to meet in such a beautiful spot! 🦈🐋🌲🐭🐘🌊🧬🦕
After one of the most challenging and rewarding years of my life, I officially have my MRes in Biosystematics. I’m excited to continue working on my research and to begin my PhD in Lincoln.
I’m going to miss the team at the @NHM_London and the cohort of students who supported me
Both happy and honoured to have been awarded the "Top Performing Student" in the MRes Biosystematics @imperialcollege with the one and only Bee man @GeorgeAllenMBio.
The entire MRes cohort worked so hard this year and I can't wait to see what we will achieve in our research.
Very proud to have been awarded 'Top Performing Student' in the MRes Biosystematics cohort, but also incredibly proud of @ClemPrieul who achieved this award alongside me.
It's a special feeling being able to say that all our hard work together was worth it.
Thanks @NHM_London
The heaviest animal ever might have been found! 🤯
While its exact weight is uncertain, Perucetus could weigh as much as 340 tonnes - or the same as two blue whales! 🐋🐋
