Year 4 had the best day at Cadbury World. So much to see and interact with - from the history of Cadbury to sampling the chocolate. We loved the workshop ‘From bean to bar’ which compliments our geography topic. Super proud day

In science, Year 3 have been using magnets to test out which everyday objects are attracted to magnets, and which are not.

Today in maths Year 3 used Numicon to address the ‘marvellous mistake’ that we should add the denominator when adding fractions! #numicon #welovemaths #whiterosemaths

In DT this week Year 3 adapted a flatbread recipe using alternative flours. We also had to make adaptations along the way as some flours required more yogurt than the original recipe. 🧑🏽‍🍳⏲️🥠

This week the Historical Society were joined by Gran Heaven’s daughter Jill. Gran Heaven collected items in a pram, raising money to build our new school. You can see the inscription in the hall and stained class window dedicated to her. #welovehistory

In Year 4, we developing our writing to persuade. Each day we are building on our knowledge from exploring the common features of tourist leaflet layout, applying these skills and then gathering facts to create our own leaflet to persuade. Great immersion from Year 4.
