Dr. Jessica Larsen is working to develop a cure for brain-eating amoebas using nanoparticles 🦠 These particles carry amoeba killing drugs to the brain through the nose! @LarsenLab
@AlbaRubio_group created a coloring book as part of her @NSF CAREER Award. The coloring book supports women in STEM and will be distributed to schools in the area! A digital copy of the book can be found in the article.
Three recent books are among the more unique ways CECAS reaches far beyond campus to inspire the next generation. Ana C. Alba-Rubio has put together a coloring book. Serita Acker has written two books that describe what engineers and scientists do. https://t.co/jjeoIuozNz
Meet Dr. Majors, ChBE's new Assistant Prof! 👋🏼
Dr. Cat Majors earned her B.Eng. in Biomedical Engineering at Vanderbilt University and her PhD in Bioengineering from Rice University where her research focused on the development of new methods to detect bacterial infections. (1/2)
(2/3) She comes to us having just finished her postdoc at Northwestern University where she worked on split enzyme engineering. Here at Clemson, Dr. Majors is excited to build a research program centered on the engineering of novel protein signaling networks that can be applied
We are so proud of our Class of 2024!! They worked so hard while they were here and we can not wait to see all of the great things that they are going to do in their careers.
Now - go out and change the world, but don't be strangers!
Five students and alumni from @ClemsonCECAS have received Graduate Research Fellowships from the @NSF. Congrats to: Annika DeVol (MSE), Joshua Murray (AuE), Kayleigh Trumbull (ChemE), Michael Smith (biosystems eng) and Claudia Wong (BioE). https://t.co/qoeDUG3hEd
The first group outing here @Clemson_ChBE celebrating an amazing spring semester getting the lab up and running and bringing on so many talented students
(cont.) and Hospira Pharmaceuticals. She joins us from LSU where her focus was student success, engineering education and engineering leadership development.
Meet Dr. Liz Melvin 👋🏼
Dr. Liz Melvin earned her BS in Chemical Engineering at The Ohio State University and her MS and PhD from North Carolina State University. Dr. Liz has nearly 8 years of industry experience and formally worked at: Dow Corning, Johns Manville, (cont.)
The Next Engineers: Greenville Engineering Camp visited us today to measure the voltage of single-cell batteries with various electrolytes to construct a multi-cell battery that could power an LED bulb💡@ClemsonCECAS
A new era launched today with the groundbreaking for the Advanced Materials Innovation Complex. It will be a cutting-edge education and research facility, serving as a shining beacon for attracting top talent. https://t.co/czrK1Opn9Z
Ella Bresee will continue to be a source of light and strength for this program and the entire Clemson community. Please join us in sending our love and support to Bryan and the Bresee family. #EllaStrong 🧡
