Top priority investments you should focus in life
1. Invest in your health.
2. Invest in yourself (mind, spiritually, knowledge).
3. Invest in meaningful relationships.
4. Invest in financial assets to provide long term freedom and wealth.
Notice first 3 are non-financial.
Golden nugget of the day :
I won’t say it enough but
associations are everything
It makes you and you make them
It’ll even determined why other people will want to associate themself with you or not
Do business with you or not
Everything is connected
And it’ll start with who you choose to have in your closest circle
I'm reminded today of the journey, despite all the twist and turns. This has been 10 years in the making 💫🤎
If you ever feel like you're stuck or can't find the light where you are, make a list of everything you did achieve and make a second list of all the things you didn't... I can bet you that you're achievements outweigh the misses.
Be kind to yourself, You can always try again tomorrow 🌸🌸
South African journalist Debora Patta fired from CBS News
Veteran South African journalist Debora Patta has been dismissed from CBS News as part of a major round of layoffs affecting roughly 100 staffers across the network.
Patta, a foreign correspondent based in Johannesburg, had spent 12 years covering international stories for CBS and was known for reporting from conflict zones including Syria, Ukraine, and the Israel-Hamas war.
Sources indicate Patta’s termination followed a last-minute change by CBS’s new editor-in-chief, Bari Weiss.
Reports suggest Weiss removed a male correspondent from the layoff list and added Patta’s name just hours before cuts were finalized. The network also closed its Johannesburg bureau, where Patta was based.
The dismissal comes months after Patta conducted an August 7 interview with U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, who later accused CBS of editing the interview in a way that misrepresented his views on Gaza. Patta had recently signed a three-year contract and is reportedly considering legal action against CBS.
Before joining CBS, Patta built a distinguished career in South Africa, working at Radio 702 and leading the investigative program 3rd Degree on etv.
Colleagues described her as “fearless and fair,” noting that her departure leaves a significant gap in CBS’s coverage of international conflict zones.
Patta’s exit highlights ongoing questions about newsroom restructuring, editorial independence, and the impact of global media dynamics on local reporting.
