The Cleveland Villan

Cleveland and Ohio State sports, and Aston Villa FC.

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@SlangsOnSports Sarah, you're as "one-of-one" as Jose. Killer stats. 😎

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@LetsTalk_FPL @OfficialFPL My captain!

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@ionnaofficial Where exactly will they be charging between Minneapolis and Salt Lake City? Houston and Salt Lake City? Minneapolis and Houston? Some very very long Ionna-less stretches there, unfortunately.

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@danbardell @The1874Podcast If it's not too early yet to say, what have you or those around the club heard about impressions and practice changes with any of the new coaching/physio staff hires?

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@ionnaofficial I get it's not economical to open many metro stations in Fargo or Omaha. But ignoring coverage of all the highway thoroughfares makes no sense... two years in, the I-70 stations look like a gimmick to say you can go cross-country on Ionna, without any real commitment to it.

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@ionnaofficial I LOVE charging at Ionna, the concept is exceptionally well-executed. But we need more of them here! A huge part of the country, but unless you want to cross the country along I-70, nope... no I-90, I-80, or I-40; let alone I-29 or I-35. At this stage, these deserts are a joke.

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@LoveMcGrathpod Agree with James, expect Villa to be back in for him in Jan or next summer if trajectory returns to prior after he starts playing again

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@J_Tanswell Perhaps "joining a Premier League club"... like Villa? Seems this has reignited on Chelsea's behalf in the last few hours interestingly... More creativity between Chelsea and Villa? 👀

[Fabrizio Romano @FabrizioRomano]

🚨🔵 Chelsea are in advanced talks over €40m deal for Honest Ahanor from Atalanta.

Understand the agreement for 18 year old defender would include joining a Premier League club this summer in order to develop and then join #CFC in June 2027.

Honest already said yes to Chelsea.

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@J_Tanswell @TheAthleticFC Interested in details of the Goretzka deal... You discussed what he was initially asking for, but interested if those wages are in the range of what we gave him, or if getting later in the window the final amounts were a bit lower.

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@IanHumphri51319 @LoveMcGrathpod Seems his profile is much more to replace Onana's skillset that Yuriy's. Hopefully they can get him to agree just a one year deal (at what would likely be very high wages) as a consolation for not being able to get the Paulinha loan deal over the line instead.

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@LetsTalk_FPL Garnacho is apparently training, so will have to wait for presser to get an update, but even if Hemmings starts, he'd be at risk of a 1 pointer. F*uck knows is a firm stay away for me.

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@J_Tanswell @TheAthleticFC Not the best advertisement for the scouting department when you buy a young player for £8 million and then sell them for half that just a couple of years later

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

There was a consequential football match yesterday that @xGPhilosophy seems to have missed...
Aston Villa (2.13) 1-2 (1.03) PSG

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@its_Seebas @itskyleconner @RivianTrackr @alex_bessinger Exactly, every eGMP car has a higher peak AND holds it flat to 80%, and has done so since 2021

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@J_Tanswell @TheAthleticFC Only two possibilities... either Fabrizio is wrong about it being easy to reach threshold (and last year's experience is evidence any number is not a foregone conclusion w/Emery), or they got explicit pre-clearance from UEFA that the clause language is permissible.

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@FabrizioRomano Why in the world would they make it too easy to reach and risk the wrath of UEFA? Either this is wrong, or they got pre-clearance from UEFA that the clause won't diminish their Rogers profit.

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@LetsTalk_FPL Bargain, when Anderson goes for the same amount

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@FabrizioRomano Arsenal £80m bid and Villa auto-rejection incoming. Pay over £115m by the end of July, or go find someone else.

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@lateriser12 For us in the USA, this is every EPL weekend! 😁

[The Cleveland Villan @ClevelandVillan]

@danbardell @The1874Podcast Who from the current squad, particularly those many now would consider Villa "legends", still doesn't have a truly proper terrace song? Rogers, right? Watkins?
