Maybe it’s just this small town I’m in.
I didn’t put up with this much jealousy when I was in Nashville.
But Jackson.
Man.
We ain’t gon ever have shit.
I’m just tired of looking around & seeing a buncha fuck ass people struggling instead of working together.
Then looking at you w/ jealous eyes cause you never gave up & get the same love you gave out.
Like, I truly truly hate niggas.
I hate the hate we have for one another.
I hate our lack of ambition & cooperation.
I hate the jealousy we harbor for another black persons success.
I hate our insecure, destructive, condescending culture.
I hate so much about stupid niggas.
I could’ve bought a house, a Porsche, or a good amount of land with the money I’ve spent just to run my business over 2 years.
I’m determined to tighten up & move more professionally here on out.
#ProfitFirst
I can’t wait to wake up just completely happy.
No thoughts of the “friends” who became jealous, imitating, strangers.
No thoughts of the local bums copying your every move.
No thoughts of the people who could’ve helped but tried to hold you back….
Just happy thoughts….
I still got the dream of working w/ @BurnieAmsterdam, @josephfiend_, & @BlackMetaphor.
These raps ain’t been doing nun but marinating w/ all the experiences I’ve been taking in lately.
Paid my moms rent in full for the 1st time today.
Paying mine tomorrow.
& my pockets still alive.
I want this feeling for all my loved ones & homeboys.
It feels like freedom.
What’s perceived as “success” comes with so much bullshit.
I’m just happy to be getting the painful shit out the way.
If people act this way over a lil taste…I can only imagine.
I’ve learned to keep my distance.
