The plantain, Musa sapientum, is similar to bananas. They reproduce vegetatively, so they are propagated from pieces of the mother plant instead of grown from a seed. Suckers and corms can be used in this process with the latter being much more laborious.#drfoxcall #plant200call

This is a bunch of little bluestems, or schizachyrium. The texture of the plant overall is very soft, especially the clusters of seeds sprouting all over. During the summer and spring months this plant is blue-green, but this time of the year it’s brownish. #drfoxcall
