Year 3 have completed their Outdoor Adventurous Activities unit in PE which was great fun while learning some valuable team work skills. We made hoop castles and even managed to lift them up! As an added challenge, some children crawled through them too!
This week Year 2 have been creating their own fruit chaat in Design and Technology! They have worked on their skills of chopping, kitchen safety and have been adventurous in trying new flavour combinations and fruits that are unfamiliar to them! Well done Year 2!
Year 1 have been working brilliantly in teams for relay races and then have practised their throwing and catching skills with an emphasis on precision and control — a wonderful mix of fun and skill‑building. 🌟
Bringing magic to our English lessons! 🪄 Year 5 explored the wizarding world, wearing Harry’s glasses and being sorted into houses by the Sorting Hat to inspire their writing. ✨
Last week, Reception held a flower parade!
Inspired by the book, 'The Extraordinary Gardener', they painted and created their own flowers as well as composing the lyrics to a special song about flowers. It was only right that they shared their joy with the rest of school!
LARGE FLAT BOXES
If you have recently had a TV or similar large object delivered, Reception would be very pleased to have your cardboard. We have plans for some large scale artwork!
Many thanks.
Mrs Gardiner and Mr Wilson
Last week, Will and Matt, two police officers visited some classes at Clifford Bridge.
Nursery loved meeting them, trying on some uniform and seeing inside a real police van.
They even got to see the flashing lights and hear the sirens.
Thank you Will and Matt!
🌍 Earth Day 22.04.26 🌍
Reception have been thinking about our wonderful world today!
We explored maths - spheres and circles, the importance of trees in Science and printed some gorgeous 2D representations of our beautiful world!
Happy Earth Day everyone! 🌍😍
Science Week in Reception
Before the holidays, Reception loved an opportunity to learn about chromatography as part of British Science Week.
They made these amazing chromatography fish and wrote all the signs for our display themselves - well done Reception!

📐⭐🎨 Our Year 5 artists have been mastering geometric design, taking inspiration from Islamic patterns from The Golden Age. The attention to detail is truly impressive! 🎨⭐📐
Nursery have had an eggciting, time this week looking at the text 'We're going on an Egg Hunt' which is very repetitive and fun to join in with. We've counted eggs, decorated eggs, made Easter cards and playdough nests, built bunny houses and decorated an Easter tree!
Reception really enjoyed the sunshine last week!
We got out into the school grounds, determined to find the signs of Spring!
The 🌞 and warmth was quite a contrast to today's weather! 💨🌦️🌨️
Wishing all the Clifford Bridge mummies and special ladies a very special day today!
Listen to Reception singing their version of @MylesSmithUK's song Stay!
We hope you are spoiled by your lovely children x

Clifford's Choir inspire me so much. They learnt this beautiful song today in less than 15 minutes. It is called 'Mimi nikawa tuwewe', which is Swahili for 'I am like you', or 'You are the same as me'. Thank you to Zangi for the song and to @abrahamsdarren for the inspiration!
✨📚 We loved celebrating World Book Day at Clifford Bridge on Thursday! As Dr. Seuss reminds us, “The more that you read, the more things you will know.” Here are a few of our favourite moments! 📚✨
