We are excited to welcome Sweta Dixit as our new Science and Solutions Advisor for the ATO - ClimatEducate Project! As our former Project Chief Director from 2019-2021, Sweta brings extensive experience in environmental research, education, and advocacy.
Her experience extends internationally, having held leadership roles such as Country Coordinator for Nepal at COY16 Glasgow and our former Committee Director for Education & Advocacy, where she played a pivotal role in advancing our climate education initiatives.
Around the world, initiatives are underway to restore forests and ensure their sustainable use. This not only protects the incredible biodiversity within these ecosystems but also allows communities to flourish.
In 2020, one of our project members based in Ethiopia led a series of initiatives to immerse students in their local forests. The forest is an intact and heterogeneous one and provides major ecological services in the region, learn more about it here: https://t.co/XaH3v6WZJd

Despite the uncertainties surrounding the year's early events, our project team successfully held its 26th Global Project Team Meeting. The gathering formally thanked the previous administration while welcoming the newly appointed Chief and Associate Directors.
As the first meeting of the year, it provided an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, share updates on their community and career progress, and set the stage for upcoming initiatives.

It refers to man-made compounds that harm the environment by depleting the ozone layer, harming Earth's ecosystems and human health.
