@ouzt6@tigerccx You just repeat the same talking points. Did you read the treaty? Beijing made commitments that it is now breaking. Those are violations of the treaty. Clear as day, not that I would expect a Wumao to get it. Good night.
@iingwen While Taiwan is better than China, it has a long ways to go in human rights towards foreigners. It falls short in treating long-term residents equally in relief as well as in assistance with court cases. I am living with both realities right now. Taiwan still needs improvements.
@ouzt6@tigerccx People have been arrested for carrying R.O.C. flags. And what is the crime in peacefully advocating Hong Kong independence? I could advocate Quebec independence and have no issues. We even voted on it in 1995!
@ouzt6@tigerccx I have a clear idea of the promises China made, and are now broken. Much of the rest of the world knows this too. China is an international criminal. India, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, and others, all know this.
@ouzt6@tigerccx (2) ... The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will enjoy a high degree of autonomy, except in foreign and defence affairs which are the responsibilities of the Central People's Government. -- violated
@ouzt6@tigerccx (5) The current social and economic systems in Hong Kong will remain unchanged, and so will the life-style. Rights and freedoms, including those of the person, of speech, of the press, of assembly, -- also violated
@ouzt6@tigerccx Yeah, because Chinese were so nice to Africans a few months ago. The US recently had a Black President, for goodness sake. Talk about someone who doesn't know of which he speaks.
@ouzt6@tigerccx But when that agreement was signed and ratified, China made certain legally binding commitments. China has now violated them, just as they violated the UNCLOS in regards to the Philippines.
@mohamed_hagi@MOFA_Taiwan Interesting seeing all of this news about Somaliland all of the sudden. I used Somaliland as a Model UN topic with my high school students in Taichung years ago. I wonder if they remember.
@ebukstel@DrLeanaWen@SenSchumer@Morning_Joe The US NEEDS to test. Some countries don't need mass testing. Taiwan go control from the beginning and only needs to employ targeted testing. No domestic transmission for two and a half months.
@DrLeanaWen@SenSchumer@Morning_Joe Taiwan started taking action on December 31. We never shut down. School continued uninterrupted. We are totally save here.
