Highlights include:
✅ TWBC emissions down 43% in last 5 years
✅ 91 solar panels on new Amelia Scott building
✅ target to be net zero by 2030 👍

The new EV charging point on Mount Pleasant Road in #TunbridgeWells has been unveiled and is now in operation. 👍
One side is reserved for taxis to encourage the take-up of e-taxis in the town. The other can be used by all other vehicles. @GregClarkMP

Air quality has improved in #TunbridgeWells. In the four years to 2019 (i.e. pre-pandemic) the levels of NO2 fell by:
🔵 20% on Monson Road
🔵 19% on The Pantiles
🔵 16% on London Road, #Southborough
🔵 35% on Maidstone Road, #PaddockWood
Now we've added No Idling signs. 👍
Friends of the Earth ranked #TunbridgeWells as one of the greenest boroughs in the UK and the joint best (with Ashford) in #Kent. Both scored 80%.
We were helped by our high recycling rate and the commitment by @TWellsCouncil to be carbon neutral by 2030.

Of the 404 councils in the country, only 8 have set more ambitious targets.
