The government is committed to recovering all riparian land along the 47-kilometre Nairobi River ecosystem through the government's flagship program, the Climate WorX Initiative.
Further, in line with provisions of EMCA and the Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit Regulations of 2003, all the Nuclear Power Programme projects require a detailed and comprehensive integrated Environmental Impact Assessment, which shall be undertaken by NuPEA.
Together with colleague principal secretary for Forestry @GMugambi_EBS, we accompanied Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale in a meeting with the National Assembly Departmental Committee on Environment, Forestry, and Mining chaired by Nakuru Town East MP Hon. David Gikaria to answer questions raised at Bunge Towers.
Yesterday #KEPSA & the Government led by President @WilliamsRuto held a Presidential Roundtable at @StateHouseKenya. The meeting focused on the submission made by the private sector to @NAssemblyKE on the Finance Bill 2024.
