Friendship desexualization isn’t as hard as it’s made out to be tbh. People are just so unwilling to endure emotional discomfort that they’d rather lose a friend than learn to sit with feeling uncomfortable with needing time and the space to be awkward to figure out a new dynamic
THIS! Everyone in this industry wants to see eachother succeed. As much as they try to sell us the narrative of competition, the truth is such a collaborative medium will always have an equally collaborative work force. And passing that grace on is seen as a duty of the industry.
One important thing we talk about in the interview are these unpaid bakeoffs that animation studios are tending to do more and more - Animation peeps look OUT for this stuff.
KPOP DEMON HUNTERS IS A TWO-TIME OSCAR WINNER!
Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, produced by Michelle Wong, and hand-crafted by hundreds of artists. We are so proud! 🫰
crying watching that Golden performance and thinking about all the people that have been part of Sony Animation over the decades and built it into a place that has such an impact on people & the culture. Congrats to all of you and @maggiemkang@dairysnake Michelle Wong and crew 🥹 💪
You don’t expect to win the Oscar when you laid off a crew of animators, got rid of Dana, offered your copyright to AI, sabotaged your own movies, and use sequels to hide the fact that you’re scared to provide to your community
All the new winners- (1/2)
@omgsidewalks Somebody can be smart and cordial, and yet, that can mean nothing when it comes to forming a deeper connection. Self esteem isn't something that I look for, but now it is.
Guillermo Del Toro stood up for #KPopDemonHunters winning best animated feature and was trying to encourage the crowd to stand too.
The dude is a ride or die for the medium.

This indie dev is making a game where you can literally play as Ancient Egyptian wall art.
- Switch between a 3D archaeologist and living 2D art
- Survive puzzles that fight back
- Progress by mastering both worlds
It’s called Fresco. This mechanic is genius.
Japanese Devs are SO GOOD at creating VISUALLY APPEALING and CHARMING characters, her animations are so FLUID and CUTE its hard to look away. Yet Western Devs want to make every character look DISGUSTING.
