@csubmari@tom_karnes@csubted@DrEddiesClass Educational podcasts are a great way to gather new and exciting technology ideas. I have a few that I listen to but need to find additional ones to help broaden my horizons.
@justmoewithit@tom_karnes@DrEddiesClass I love going to tech conferences. In February of 2020 I attended an Illuminate Conference and learned so much about the different styles of tech available.
@Ststansberry@tom_karnes I rely heavily on my professional learning community for new tips, tricks and resources. Some of them are younger than I am and are always finding new trending things on Tiktok.
@RafaDelgadoCSUB@doctor2pi I love to use Google Forms as quizzes. The set up is often tedious but totally worth it in the end. If you have your Google Forms set up as quizzes they will self correct saving you time as the teacher!
@Cassandra_CSUB@doctor2pi Prodigy is an amazing resource and all kids love it! I will often use Prodigy as their free time option, which is a win win for me because the students are engaged in their activity while learning and working on their skills!
@Jbell4Bell@doctor2pi Every year I make a Google Classroom for my current students. It makes it so much easier to assign modified work to students who need it. It also is an easy way for me to assign work from a far!
@PUSDMrsPalmer@doctor2pi@parlayideas That sounds like an awesome program. I will have to look into incorporating that into my classroom! Thanks for the new tech!
@Arlene055256486 @doctor2pi@DrEddiesClass Kahoot is one of my favorite ways to review content with my students. It allows them the opportunity to test their own skills and knowledge! I always reccommend Kahoot to new teachers.
@msantos_lara@doctor2pi Using a Google Calendar within your classroom is a genius idea! I would have never thought to do this. We have a district and site wide Google Calendar but it would be beneficial for students and families to see a specific one for their school or classroom.
@xlissetgonzalez@doctor2pi@tom_karnes I love Google Classroom, I use it all the time to push out modified assignments to all of my students. It is a great tool to use in the classroom for all subject areas.
@pookie30037@doctor2pi Using Canvas as a student really helped me as a teacher during the pandemic. Canvas has many tools that are useful for parents and teachers to use. Our high school and middle school still uses Canvas for all submissions.
@RafSanchez25@doctor2pi I love Khan Academy!! I used it so much while on distance learning to help reinforce many math concepts that I was teaching to my 3rd graders. I need to remember to use it more often!
@giovanna77119@DrEddiesClass Hi Giovanna! The littles are so much fun to work with! I taught first grade for my first two years of my career! What age do you work with as a Paraprofessional?
@tom_karnes Collaboration with other teachers is a great way to find new and engaging tech programs to use. I also find a lot of new resources on social media. When testing new tech I like to give it multiple tries to determine if it is a good fit for my students. @DrEddiesClass#CSUBTED
@doctor2pi I love using 99Math in my classroom. It is an amazing program that students can practice their math skills and fluencies. This program has many skills for all grades. It is a great resource to encourage students to practice in their math skills, every teacher should use 99Math!
@Ststansberry After taking my current class with @DrEddiesClass I have found that I love the idea of students using Flip Grid to communicate with their peers and share their own thoughts and ideas. I feel like using Google Translate would also be very beneficial for all students! #CSUBTED
@doctor2pi Teachers & parents can use tech to monitor student success, growth & progress. It can be used to track grades, behavior and can serve as a communication tool. I use Parent Square for communication. Other programs include Remind, Class Dojo, Class Tag. @DrEddiesClass#CSUBTED
@DrEddiesClass Hello everyone! I am completing my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I currently teach 3rd grade and this is my seventh year teaching!! Excited to work alongside with everyone this week! @DrEddiesClass#CSUBTED
