🚨 At Socialism 2026, Beatrice Adler-Bolton invokes Hamas founder Ahmed Yassin as a model for understanding disabled revolutionaries.
“Ahmed Yassin, who was an important revolutionary Palestinian leader and one of the founders and early leaders of Hamas, was paralyzed at 16. He was quadriplegic.”
She then runs through Che Guevara, Mao, Lenin, Trotsky, Ho Chi Minh, and others before concluding...
“Our debilitated, imperfect bodies are far more threatening to power than we are led to believe.”
For those keeping track of how today’s left uses the word “genocide”:
Just recently we learned that imposing sanctions against the Cuban regime is genocide. We now learn that solutions for obesity are also genocide.
At this point, it’s completely clear that in modern socialist vocabulary, the definition of “genocide” approaches that of “fascist” — meaning, anything a socialist doesn’t like, which is pretty much everything related to Western democracy and free-market capitalism.
Remember this next time they scream about genocide in Gaza.
@Frankbutler007@IsraelinNewYork So when Hamas took credit (proudly) for the attacks on October 7, and publicized videos of them killing all of the innocent people, you don’t beleive them? Your heroes Hamas are lying to you?
@rowanb3rries@AriDrennen I make $450k per year as an investment banker on wall street. I also volunteer on the weekends, run marathons, hang out with my friends, etc. Would you be happy if a deranged person stabbed me to death in times square?
I haven't posted politics in a while. People ask me why. I'll tell you why. The left has gone so far off the rails that engaging with them honestly makes me feel dumber for having tried.
Look at what we're dealing with here. You have to explain, to grown adults, that communism killed 100 million people. A hundred million. Think of it. You have to explain that every socialist society... every single one, all of them... failed. Not some of them. All of them.
You have to point out that American capitalism produced the freest, most prosperous people who ever lived. Richest nation in human history. Most freedom anybody's ever had, anywhere, at any time, ever. And you say it, and they look at you with disgust... and then they go outside and march for Maduro. For the Cuban regime. For dictators. They're protesting for the dictators.
Who can believe we're even having this conversation?
It's exhausting. It really is. Totally exhausting.
@ElectBilzerian The margin between randy and dan is 145 standard errors above zero. Based on the results, the odds dan would win this election if running a simulation is 1 in 10^4,569. You would be more likely to randomly draw the same atom from the universe 57 times in a row than Randy losing
