Most dinosaur fossils aren’t found as complete skeletons.
They’re scattered, broken apart, and jumbled together, this is what you would expect to find after a violent global flood.
But among the rare complete dinosaur skeletons, many are found in what paleontologists call the “death pose”, where their necks arched dramatically backward as if gasping for air.
Interestingly, experiments have shown that chickens buried alive exhibit the same posture as they struggle for air.
The fossil record doesn’t paint a picture of a peaceful world evolving over millions of years.
It looks far more like a world caught in sudden catastrophe and buried where it stood.
More instances of the term "complementarian" being eroded. It's down to being "I believe men and women exist". But restricting women from anything is forbidden.
This talent (gifting) view that entitles women to be "titled" pastors is a view that is spreading. What is crazy is that self-described "complementarians" are advancing it. It's doublespeak.
I am glad that there is more of an emphasis on hope and nation-building among independence folk. It is a theme which Christian leaders in Alberta have been emphasizing from the start, as opposed to nihilism, cynicism and grievance.
Appreciate both Matt and Jen's writing over the years, but the claims of fantasy and nihilism are the opposite of what my messages and those of speakers at events for https://t.co/s2hs3E97A4 have offered. Instead we prioritized hope, principle and humble resolve.
"Separatism is the inevitable outcome of that strategy left unchained, feral, and unfed in the yard. It is fuelled by very legitimate frustrations and grievances — but also by grandiosity, fantasy, and nihilism."

If we pray for persecuted Christians in the midst of their persecution, would we also pray and labor to prevent persecution? The answer is simple but far reaching.
I am hearing from people in different denominations that administrators are flexing, aiming to force churches into compliance. The issue: women pastors at a minimum. Yet non-compliant churches are actually confessing the original terms of the association. Common theme.
The allure of Roman Catholicism is a mirage that appeals to North American strivers wanting the appearance of hereditary order and esoteric ritual. For Europeans it is the appeal of centralized global socialism. As DeChirico says, the former is Roman, the latter is Catholic, but “both come from the same kitchen.”
I have participated in mediation with some of these parties. I am deeply grieved at the actions of Fellowship Prairies. The churches that have been voted out (how is this possible?) were fully committed to the doctrinal terms of the Fellowship, and were very patient in calling the Fellowship to ethical consistency. Very sad day in the West.
Lots of discussion about this scenario. I think much is explained by men striving for status, and an unwillingness to suffer outside the camp with the unwashed masses of low churchers.
If the intellect is great and humble they will want to be discipling to raise up others.
There's a moment when smart Evangelical/Reformed guys in college or grad school go to a Sunday service and it hits them they're smarter and more sophisticated than the guy in the pulpit. They start thinking about Rome. I get it. Srsly DM me. Happy to talk. No judgement.
Churches that grow have changing needs. The immature become mature, but need to focus on making disciples. New members need basic discipling that mature ones already grasp.
This is why a well-rounded nutritional plan of exposition and catechesis will always be needed, not fads.
