Due to the fire hazard, in 1944, construction began on 10 firewater reservoirs (out of a total of 17 planned) within the Auschwitz camp complex. One of these, measuring 25 x 5 meters, was built inside the Auschwitz I camp fence, near the so-called Birkenallee. It is likely that during the final stages of construction, the reservoir was equipped with swimming pool elements: starting blocks, a diving board, and a ladder.
Survivors’ testimonies provide different interpretations of the reasons for this modification. One theory suggests that camp functionaries (block leaders, kapos) initiated the addition of these swimming pool features. Allegedly, camp physician Eduard Wirths approved the idea under the pretext that swimming would improve prisoners' physical condition and thus increase their ability to work. This theory seems plausible since such modifications could not have been made without the approval of the SS authorities, as they required scarce materials—bricks, iron, and mortar.
The denier's argument—that the presence of a swimming pool in Auschwitz proves that prisoners enjoyed excellent living conditions and therefore the high mortality rate was impossible—is entirely false.
Holocaust denial is nothing more than a conspiracy theory built on lies and hatred.
New @slcCouncil member Jennifer Napier-Pearce says transit needs to be “more affordable.”
Her first vote as a councilperson was to make transit more expensive. #slc#utpol
Really, @AmericanAir? My wife and I paid $100 to change to an earlier return flight, that you cancelled for no reason. We were put back on our original flight, and now you've refused to refund the $100!
This is essentially theft.

Denial of the existence of gas chambers is a disgraceful assault on the memory of all those people: Jews, Poles, Roma, Soviet prisoners of war, and all other victims. It is also a slap in the face to those prisoners who risked their lives to document and convey the truth about German crimes, as well as to the Survivors who still bear the trauma of their personal experiences.
Holocaust denial has nothing to do with the truth. It is a mendacious conspiracy theory. A dangerous & hideous carrier of antisemitism & hatred that hurts people. Deniers harass & insult the memory of the victims.
Bought a $1,742.80 camera online from BestBuy.
The FedEx delivery driver stole it. FedEx admitted it.
But BestBuy won’t give a refund. They said we need to “work with local law enforcement.”
Thought everyone should know if you buy from @BestBuy and a @FedEx driver steals what you paid for, your money is gone. Neither company will make it right.
I’ve spent over $30K at BestBuy and will never spend another penny there.

As Salt Lake County asks homeowners to reduce outdoor watering and follow drought restrictions, our KUTV producer found this grass outside the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office being watered during restricted hours on multiple days.
We started asking questions: Is the county following the same watering rules residents are expected to follow?
What we found out and the county’s response only tonight on @KUTV2News at 5PM.

.@JStuartAdams has been skirting campaign finance laws for years, raking in enormous contributions while using the office for personal benefit. When I called for his resignation last year, it wasn't because of one instance. It was because of a pattern.

Once again Senate President Adams has got to be one of the most corrupt officials in Utah's history.
He can deny it all he wants, but he has benefited from way too many laws and political appointments for too long.
All while undermining any opposition and his constituents.
Former Congressman gets $18 million Public Building on 2.4 acres down town SLC for $1 million with $1/yr payments for the first 15 years and 55 years to pay off.
Former lawmaker gets $8 million for a property Cottonwood Heights mayor says is worth $4.5 million.
Box Elder County is offered $5.4 million for a $100 Billion Mr. Not-Wonderful mega data center.
The new Prison cost $1 Billion divided by the 600 acres from the old prison site is $1.7 million per acre (350 developable, 142 Open Space, 112 roads and infrastructure).
Building a prison on top of old city dump, in a West Nile Virus mosquito swamp, in the jet pollution plume is cruel and unusual punishment.
The gondola, The Olympics, The Utah Iand Port Authority (UIPA), The tax increases, Stadiums to Billionaires - No choice, no voice, no vote - Utax.
Members of Congress insider trade stocks against the constituent families.
Data Centers demand qualified immunity from lawsuits.
Utax is cooking a rough brew.

I’m laughing right now about how there are Utahns that actually want this guy to be the next governor. Who knew he’s not just a quitter, but also a remarkable backroom, zero transparency deal maker. 😩
If Utahns haven’t connected the dots yet, Jason Chaffetz post is pretty revelatory.
November 2025 Jason Chaffetz joins American Global Strategies, a DC consulting firm specializing in AI, defense, etc.
Per Kevin OLearys comments he has been working on this for 5 months. Per Chaffetzs post he was the one to brought the opportunity to his “friend”. Put those 2 together and we see Chaffetz brought this to OLeary late 2025.
May 2026 the plan is revealed to the public. There is major local opposition.
May 15 American Global Strategies publishes an article about how it is an AI race between us and China, directly mirroring the narrative that OLeary has been pushing: https://t.co/NvtRWjaM7K
May 15 Chaffetz posts a long message about how this data center is great. Doesn’t disclose any financial interest.
O’Leary immediately reposts it and says how great it is that the project is gaining local support.
@jasoninthehouse would you like to clarify if you are being paid to consult on this project as a member of American Global Strategies? Because it seems pretty obvious you got paid to post that.
Jason Chaffetz brokered the city-sized data center in Box Elder County.
He says he had the same concerns we had. But those concerns were answered to his satisfaction.
So he hooked them up with Kevin O’Leary to move the project forward.
I suppose Jason doesn’t think the people of Box Elder County deserve a chance to have their concerns heard before having it rammed down all our throats.
And why should they? They just live there.
Our politicians view us as little more than cattle that pay taxes.
Jason Chaffetz should never be Governor .
NEW🚨House Speaker @mschultz_12 on the speculation that he owns land and stands to profit from the new Stratos data center: in short, he does own land nearby, but calls it "undevelopable." He maintains he did not know about the project when he bought it.
