@ChrisWillx Personally I want my “famous” people to have grown and developed over time, and that takes a journey of struggle that most will never know about, nor have the right to. I’m always amazed by how we hold people to the earlier versions of themselves, it’s absurd.
@ChrisWillx@G_S_Bhogal Great wisdom! So true. And it feels like a practice. It’s when you feel the draw to buy the next possession that is “just one level higher than what I have now.” Just the next thing.
What is it? A practice, a discipline, a lifestyle change?
Here’s my perspective as a founder in this climate…
I’m trying to build something really good for all of us. For our grandmas and moms, our grandfathers and dads. For ourselves and those we call friends, for our kids and their grandkids. For humanity.
And #%@$ it’s hard to do.
Even harder in this economic climate.
It’s proving impossible to find investment for our stage company at this time, while a few years ago we would have been funded, and profitable by now. Countless startups continue to die daily, silently, with next to zero attention or concern given to it, or the founding teams of people crippled mentally and financially without thanks for being the inventors, who in ages prior were considered critical to human progress, heroes even.
Angels, and private investors seem to be on lock down till after the elections and into next year. An understandable stance of apathy that most of America seems to be embracing. We’re all tired, untrusting of each other, less caring about humanity, and disconnected from ourselves.
The good people are tired, probably from being good for so long and witnessing nothing but decline. The less “good” people are rude, sarcastic, cynical, and increasingly aggressively dismissive.
Is the American spirit of innovation shattered? It feels like it. Far far away from the land that as a child I dreamed of calling home.
It’s a hard time to do good things, yet it’s often the greatest contributions that rise from dark times.
At Capsll we’re working to save humanity’s most valuable possession, our memories.
We need your help. We welcome your investment. If you feel moved to act, join us in delivering something historically remarkable.
I would hope that your team is preparing to have you answer the debate questions and rebuttals in full on a platform like this. Not ideal, I know, tv is key, but I would love to hear what you have to say. And honestly, while your presidency would be fantastic in my opinion, your wisdom on these matters is both timely, and critical. Perhaps @joerogan could be the in studio moderator. Thank you sir, keep going.
Excited to share part 2 of a truly insightful conversation with Karen Worstell, addressing the real effects of social media on our realities and key tips for identifying and dealing with burnout. Thank you, Karen, for your incredible insights and relevant perspectives!
