A world with twice the number of lesbian bars as there were four years ago is one worth fighting for. New from me in @ArchDigest 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ https://t.co/nQOlHF9ctM
OK, here it is! Instagram star P'nut the Squirrel was euthanized by NY State and now he's a conservative darling. Let's talk about what actually happened & just fyi it's so much dumber and darker than you think https://t.co/RuCetDkz5x
Jim Ledbetter edited the best thing I ever wrote, and now that he's gone I want to share a legendary 1995 Voice piece he wrote called "The Unbearable Whiteness of Publishing." Alas, it's nowhere online (we could still learn from it). RIP Jim. One of the all-time greats. 💔
#TodayInHistory: #OnThisDay 50 years ago, the crime caper film “The Taking of Pelham One Two Three” opened in theaters. The classic flick includes footage filmed in the decommissioned Court Street Station, now the #NYTransitMuseum. Do you like the original or the remake better?
@edrabinski I always encourage people to check out the $$$$ databases your library card gives you access to. I use my @nypl library card bar code to sign in to the OED, JSTOR, and more. You can also score free museum tickets with your library card. It’s awesome!
@TomSugrue Four cheers for “Time, Work-Discipline, and Industrial Capitalism.” A flawless historical essay (including the memorable words about students)
