@KA_Morrison The historic shop front on which the design was based - you'll note the deep fan light. The shop had lain empty, but the new shop front secured an immediate tennant - curiously a cafe which was the use in the photo!

Simplistic, and wrong. Investing in your old buildings can kick start yr retail economy like nothing else, and we have the evidence. Derby had the most vacancies nationally in 2009. Ninety seven restored shops later it was a national award winner for best High St. @HE_EastMids
