Drop off charges at UK airports - what’s your thoughts? Airports around the world offer free time to drop off but UK airports increase fees at up to 25%.

@ralston_al80850@PipSharmy Maybe but what’s the point of wasting characters on grammar? If you struggle to understand the post I worry you have bigger problems than punctuation.
@Readingfanman Both. And that is fine. The fans who invest more and still show up every week deserve recognition. What the scheme does not do is let anyone buy their way to the front without turning up. Spend more, attend more, earn more. That is not unfair that is how most loyalty schemes work
@Readingfanman 460 point head start after two seasons, 92 point gap every season after that, 5 seasons of perfect attendance just to catch up. Demand doubling to 960 barely moves the needle. The maths is clear — loyalty is rewarded and protected.
@Readingfanman Thanks you shoot down all of this crazy noise on loyalty blah just 480 people on your calculation would earn more loyalty points per game than core & season ticket holders. So the reality is those who attend at core will get away tickets more often than not. It’s a solid scheme.
@ReadingFC Just bought my core subscription today, brilliant idea, love it, spreading the costs and very happy that those that spend more and attend more get the recognition. Over 20 years a season ticket holder and like the shake up. Love the innovation. Good job @ReadingFC@RCouhig
@marksugar@ReadingFC I understand that change is never straightforward but most loyalty schemes are based on spend. The question is what % will it really impact, what % will buy the top tier. If it’s 1% then is it not an issue if it’s 90% then it’s an issue for the 10%. So I get it but is it an issue
@garybembridge The main issue is the poor implementation if the app was ready as it should have been the pre application should have removed some of the bottleneck. Having said that it’s not all European airports either. Go be prepared and have a great holiday.
@SimonCalder This is not about the volume of Brits it’s about the incompetence of Europe in implementing a half decent system that works around the world. If the App had been ready for pre registration then things may have been different. Just about poor implementation.
@TheDesKelly This is simply down to dreadful implementation by the EU if the app had been delivered as promised if the machines had been stress tested fully, if they had managed the roll out even remotely better this would not be like this. Brexit or not border controls work around the world.
@MikeJPretzel Simply down to the system implementation being totally crap. the app which was supposed to have been launched prior to system starting not happening. This is plain and simply nothing but poor management and dreadful implementation.
@SimonCalder@TheBTAorg had been fighting these outrageous and unjust charges for years, the UK stands loud and proud as the drop off charge capital of the world. Submitted a case to the CMA & we need a sustained campaign to drive change!
@afneil Interesting timing. Seriously you think she would want to show she paid the fine to set an example for us to show that everyone who lusts after power in our political classes isn’t devious & self serving. Do none of them have any moral compass or even a modicum of self awareness?
@BethRigby And what point does he remember this is about the country and not him. For the love of god man, be a true leader and make that decision for the greater good.
@YvetteCooperMP A true leader is defined not by seizing power but by what they do when holding it becomes uncomfortable. Stop listening and the mandate erodes. Simple as that.
@Keir_Starmer A mandate is not a blank cheque. It is conditional. Public servant. Two words. Both matter. When you have lost the dressing room, put the country before the ego. We deserve better. We should demand it.
