A great start to the Labour Local Government Association Conference. Lots of councillors here specifically some of my Somalia councillors from the UK for #Lablocal25 and the inspiring training sessions have begun. 👍🏾

Out in this confusing weather today suns out but it was freezing 🥶. We’ve managed to speak lots of people on the door step and report local issues. 👍🏾

Another full on day today for me Alhamdulilah, went to the Springs Charity group and had lovely chats with the ladies there. Thank you for invite again to Tracey Hamilton , always a pleasure to catch up with @LucyRigby our Labour MP for Northampton North. 👍🏾🥰

It’s been a very busy day for me, started of with our children’s Saturday activities and now also started back the kids cooking classes straight after their activities. Followed by Ward leafleting with the Castle Ward candidates also reported some fly tipping during our leafleting session. 👍🏾👌🏾

A very cold morning leafleting done with reported potholes/fly tipping. After that popped in at @mike_reader office our local MP of Northampton South for his lunch fundraising. 👍🏾

Today I went and reported two of many potholes around Northampton that are huge and deep on Edith street and Spring Lane.

The council never seems to fix them properly, the contractor needs to be held to account!!

Today was extremely busy at our activities Springs Family Centre, the kids had a tournament between them and it was just fascinating to watch the skills they have and bring to the table mashallah tabarakallah.

I’ve witnessed some of these young children grow into young men and ladies and I’m very proud to be around them. Listen 2024 was amazing to us but I know 2025 is going even more fab inshallah Happy New Year to you all see you back on Saturday inshallah. 🥰👍🏾💪🏽

Our Saturday activities at the springs family centre today. Join us on Tuesday only for the holiday period from 1pm - 3pm and then normally on Saturdays from 10am - 12pm. 👍🏾
