At Grassroots Charity AGM yesterday we were honoured to have the attendance of the Lord Lieutenant of Essex Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst, Chairman of Tendring District Council Cllr. Ann Oxley and Mayor of Colchester Cllr. Andrew Ellis. Grant awards totalling over £15,000 were awarded.

Last night the Tories and Lib Dems had a chance to save Middlewick.

I'm young enough to remember when both parties claimed to care about the site. It turns out they were using it as a political football.

We met with the Independent Ecologist and an officer from Natural England regarding Middlewick.

They are clear that the report produced by the MoD was based on poor data and that the area around Abbots Road is some of the most valuable land for biodiversity.
