Therapists were busy on Ward 31 today, clearing out their gym space to optimise the space! Also all in preparation towards meeting the guidelines of increasing intensity of stroke rehab!

Questions for other stroke rehab units - we are trying to create 'Upper limb' boxes to be able to provide to patient to increase intensity of therapy.

Does anyone already do this?
Whats most important items in box? How do you screen patients suitable? Do you use GRASP?

Week 3, celebrating 'Stroke Awareness Month' 💜🧠

Today our therapists did an exercise challenge with some of our stroke patients, to promote the importance cardiorespiratory endurance and muscle strengthening after stroke! 🏋🏼‍♀️

how do you implement cardiorespiratory fitness to your stroke patients? Do you do any group therapy for this? Screening tools? Outcome measures?

Big push for this based on the new and updated National Stroke guidelines 2023!
