@andy_higson@Southwark_News@HarrietHarman @kieronjwilliams @cllrdoradf@SuzanneAbachor Prior to @eatworkart taking over the building, it was a hub for local charities and home to the nursery for over a decade. @1stPlaceCentre has an outstanding reputation, providing care to 70+ babies and toddlers from the local community. How can this be allowed to happen?
Really hard to believe that 'Eat Work Art' changed the locks, overnight(!), on Cambridge House in Camberwell and evicted a nursery with zero notice! It surely can't be true? @Southwark_News@HarrietHarman @kieronjwilliams @cllrdoradf@SuzanneAbachor
@mr_alan_daly @alexramage1@eatworkart 100% agree - the 70+ children that attend the nursery are at a sensitive stage of development. Many children have already experienced insecurity being born & raised during the pandemic. The routine & familiarity of attending nursery is important to them to feel safe & secure.
@alexramage1@eatworkart 100% agree. As a charity, the nursery plays an important role in providing childcare to families across the income spectrum. On top of this, many of the parents of children at the nursery, work across the creative industry themselves.
@eatworkart Cambridge House is not an empty space. It’s an exceptional nursery which your disgusting company locked out of the building last night, leaving babies and toddlers with nowhere to go. Camberwell already is a community and you will never be a part of it.
