Let's take a look at the upcoming drop on BASE, @PlayCalamity.

Calamity is an upcoming, free-to-play action-RPG game that is set in a vibrant 2D top-down world. They have drawn inspiration by games such as WoW, Diablo and Albion with a focus on offering users a rich and engaging experience while fostering a player-driven economy underpinned by fairness and balance.

The release date of @PlayCalamity Public Beta is targeted for Q2 2024. The game will be supported by a token and will play a crucial role in Calamity's in-game economy (do note, the token will only be launched post public beta and once the team are comfortable that a strong foundation has been set.

Looking at the roadmap, whilst the focal point is on the current game's development, the team are looking to expand into:
- PvE content with PvE events
- PvP content with new PvP modes
- Guild systems

@PlayCalamity is self-funded by @readydegen1 , and has received upwards of $500,000 in investments thus far. Whilst the team are open to external funding, their fundamental focus regarding the game still relies on it being community driven.

Successful Japanese gaming studio branching into Web 3 with some killer art, great game and a free mint.

Phantom of the Kill (PotK) - Alternative Imitation is a spin-off from the the highly successful Phantom of the Kill game, with the difference being that it will incorporate elements of Web 3 with the following inclusions:
- Quests
- Growth of characters strength
- Ranking events
- Training to earn various reward
- Convert Killer Princesses into NFT

For context, PotK was developed by Studio FgG, a subsidiary of Gumi Inc.; One of the biggest mobile developers in Japan.

Their upcoming project will be a Free mint and will be underpinned by their $OSHI and $HIME tokens, with the former being for out-of-game utilities such as purchasing and consuming in-game currency and the latter for in-game use.

@PK_Alterna_EN has successfully proven themselves already. Their foray into Web 3 will only bode well for both, this space as well as to onboard new users. It is worth noting some of their accomplishments thus far:
- Partnerships with SBI Holdings and Square Enix
- Ranked first in terms of downloads within the Free App category on Google Play and App Store
- Ranked 14th Japanese mobile game sales
- More than 6 million downloads to date.
